Division Description
The California Housing Finance Agency’s (CalHFA) Fiscal Services Division safeguards the Agency's cash and investments and provides financial information to the executive team that is vital to the management of the Agency's products and programs. Fiscal Services Division also monitors accounts receivables, accounts payable, general ledger, fund review, and bond indentures. Each year Fiscal Services Division works with an independent accounting firm to prepare the audit of the Agency's financial data and is responsible for the yearly creation of fully audited financial statements and Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR).
CalHFA’s Financial Reporting and Bond Administration Section is responsible for providing accurate, useful, and timely financial data for management and the Board of Directors for better decision-making and monitoring programs to fulfill Agency’s mission. The financial data also provides useful information to all interested stakeholders, such as rating agencies, investors, and the public


Position Summary

Under the general direction of the Financial Accountant II, the Associate Accounting Analyst performs various level technical duties related to the preparation of the Agency’s financial statements and other financial reports, and the reconciliation of various accounts for the Agency’s accounting system.

Working Conditions

CalHFA is a high-rise building conveniently located in downtown Sacramento with access to public transportation (light rail and bus) and freeways (I-5, 99, and Business 80). It is a block from Downtown Commons (DOCO), the Golden 1 Center, and many restaurants. CalHFA employees also have free access to the gym located in the building.

In order to be considered for this job vacancy, you must satisfy one of the following requirements:


BE LIST ELIGIBLE:

Successfully complete the competitive State civil service exam for the classification Associate Accounting Analystexam.

OR


BE TRANSFER ELIGIBLE:

Have current employment with the State of California in the same classification or in a classification that is comparable (employees who wish to be considered based on transfer eligibility must meet the minimum qualifications of the classification per DPA Rule 250)

OR


BE REINSTATEMENT ELIGIBLE:

Have obtained previous permanent employment with the State of California in the same classification or in a classification that is comparable.
