WHAT WE NEED At Franciscan, our Manager of Trauma Services is responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining a cost-effective system of care for trauma patients and their families throughout the continuum of care. This role collaborates with the Assigned Medical Director on programs, projects, and activities related to the Trauma Program. WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT Monitor clinical processes and outcomes and system issues related to the quality of care provided Develop quality filters, audits, and case reviews; identify trends and sentinel events, and help outline remedial actions while maintaining confidentiality Supervise collection, coding, scoring, and developing processes for validation of data Manage the operational, personnel, and financial aspects of the trauma program Serve as a liaison to administration, and represent the trauma program on various hospital and community committees to enhance and foster optimal trauma care Supervise direct reports and manages the performance of individuals through ongoing coaching, feedback, and development to motivate, engage and drive a high performing team Support research projects and the analysis and distribution of findings for Level 1 Trauma Centers Facilitate protocol design for accurate data collection, feedback, and analysis Participate in the development of trauma care systems at the community, state, or national levels Provide for intra-facility and regional professional staff development by participating in case review, implementation of practice guidelines, and directing community trauma education and prevention programs Oversee alcohol screening and intervention process and compliance Oversee injury prevention programs and identifies priorities based on trauma registry data QALIFICATIONS Bachelor's Degree in Patient Care/Health Care - Required Master's Degree in Patient Care/Health Care - Preferred 3 years Trauma Nursing experience - Required 1 year Supervisory experience - Preferred 1 year Project Management experience - Preferred 3 years Emergency Nursing experience - Required Registered Nurse (RN) license - Required Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) - Emergency Nurses Association (ENA) - Required within 90 days of employment Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses (ATCN) - Preferred Trauma Nursing Core Course Instructor (TNCC) - Preferred Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association - Required Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - American Heart Association - Required within 90 days of hire TRAVEL IS REQUIRED: Never or Rarely EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER It is the policy of Franciscan Alliance to provide equal employment to its employees and qualified applicants for employment as otherwise required by an applicable local, state or Federal law.
