  • Three (3) years of experience on major litigation support projects or undergraduate degree
    • Certain assignments may require experience or substantial undergraduate
    • coursework in, for example, finance/accounting, health care, or substantial experience in the legal environment or in information technology
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in a team environment
  • Must have excellent writing skills and oral communication capabilities
 
  • Requires hands-on familiarity with the government's office and network environment, including but not limited to, data processing environments, including office automation networks, PC-based databases and other applications, internet and server-based databases and other applications, such as Oracle, Relativity or other document review platform, Trial Director, etc.
 
  • Should be a knowledgeable user of the Government's office and network environment, including but not limited to, word processing, spreadsheet, imaging, and hardware systems
Preferred Qualifications:Familiarity with Electronically Stored Information, ESI, tools and knowledge of e-Discovery procedures and resources preferredDocument Management Analyst IIResponsibilities/Duties: The Antitrust Division’s Litigation Program has an immediate requirement for one Document Management Analyst II, DMA II, position to provide administrative support for its litigation administration operations. Much of the Antitrust Division’s litigation is subject to rigid statutory and court-imposed deadlines.The Document Management Analyst II must be flexible and responsive whenever the case load demands change, is adaptable to change, and works well under pressure, and can independently perform multiple tasks simultaneously.Document Management Analyst II will assist with the range of activities outlined below, working directly with Antitrust Division government staff who will provide guidance and feedback. Work must be performed with strict adherence to high-quality standards and within specific time frames as required by ATR management and legal teams. Tasks may include, but are not limited to, for Litigation Administrative Support: 
  • Assisting with creating authorizations, processing vouchers, and booking travel for Litigation Program staff
  • Providing administrative assistance of a clerical nature to Litigation Program management in support of various projects and initiatives
 
  • Recording notes of litigation unit meetings and circulating them to staff
  • Maintaining the Division litigation calendar, noting key dates for the Litigation Program
  • Assisting with the coordination and administration of off-site trial logistics.
  • Logging, organizing, and tagging admitted trial exhibits in Relativity for records management purposes
 
  • Organizing and saving trial transcripts in standardized fashion to make them available for all Division personnel
  • Assisting case paralegals post-trial with preparation of materials for Criminal and Civil trial databases
  • Providing clerical assistance with maintaining official records of the Litigation Program in accordance with Division record-keeping procedures
Additional Litigation Support tasks include: 
  • Performs moderately complex litigation support tasks, including, for example, detailed review and analysis of case materials in a broad range of subject matters, such as financial records, health care materials, and other litigation files
 
  • Detailed indexing of case files; drafting procedures for accomplishing litigation support assignments
  • Document acquisition related tasks; screening for privilege documents; and conducting database searches
 
  • Proofreads and edits deliverable products, sometimes serves as "team leader" for larger group of Document Management Technicians and clerical support staff
  • Often works with minimal supervision. Reports to Task Supervisor or Project Supervisor
