Talent Acquisition Specialist (Recruiter)

The ideal candidate will have a strong marketing background and experience in recruitment or human resources, with a knowledge of screening, interviewing, and hiring practices. Objectives of this Role

  • Be the “Brand Ambassador” for Byrne & Jones, creating excitement and increasing our visibility among potential new employees.
  • Work closely with managers to gain a comprehensive understanding of the company’s hiring needs for each position and meet competitive hiring goals and expectations.
  • Manage the full recruiting lifecycle across a variety of open roles helping management find, hire, and retain quality talent
  • Grow and foster relationships, creating a database of qualified active and passive talent to pull from as new positions open.
  • Continuously partner with senior managers to design, refine, and implement innovative recruiting strategies.
  • Stay active with current job boards, social networks, and platforms to find passive and active talent, and plan, create, and release job descriptions and documents.

Job Responsibilities

  • Work and form relationships with managers to know the ins and outs of their departments and better understand the hiring needs and job specifications.
  • Achieve staffing objectives by recruiting and evaluating, advising managers, and managing relocations and intern program.
  • Build applicant sources by researching and contacting community services, colleges, high schools, media, and internet sites; providing information, opportunities, and benefits; making presentations and maintaining rapport.
  • Develop and release job postings on platforms such as social media and job boards.
  • Screen resumes and prospects, qualify, interview, and manage candidates throughout the interview process from prepping hiring managers before interviews to assisting with final offer negotiation.
  • Assess applicants’ knowledge, skills, and experience to best suit open positions.
  • Improve organization effectiveness by recommending new policies and practices; monitoring job offers and compensation practices; and emphasizing benefits and perks.
  • Keep up to date on current employment legislation and regulations.

Skills and Qualifications

  • 5 years’ experience in talent acquisition/recruitment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Human Resources
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, public speaking, and decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish effective and cooperative relationships built on trust.
  • Working knowledge of interview techniques and applicant screening methods.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
