BWI Companies, Inc. is Hiring an Accountant Near Nash, TX

We are looking for an Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will:

  • Reconcile bank transaction records.
  • Write up billing invoices and process A/R adjustments and debit memos.
  • Process bills and journal entries.
  • Verify checks have cleared and issue stop payments.
  • Compile reports pertaining to matters as cash receipts, expenditures, accounts payable and receivable, and profits and losses.
  • Code documents with proper GL codes.
  • Monitor status of loans and accounts to ensure payments are up to date.
  • Make intercompany journal entries.
  • Maintain petty cash records and recordings.
  • Perform cash application functions such as: organize A/R checks and apply to accounts, run reports, and process returned checks.
  • Check figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper codes.
  • Operate accounting software, 10-key calculators, PC's and copy machines.
  • Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations.

  • Be organized and follow a systematic method of performing tasks.

  • Be proficient in Excel.
  • Have a college degree and three years of related experience.
