We have an exciting opportunity for an Early Career Financial Reporting Analyst in our Corporate Headquarters located in Houston, TX. You will assist in preparation of financial statements for both regulators and parent company. Analyze financial reports to identify trends in the business and ensure that all documentation complies with company regulations, professional standards, GAAP and statutory reporting guidelines. You will also play a major role in adapting to the use of technology tools. Performance Objectives:
Assist with the preparation of consolidated results and analyst of the financial information.
• Assist in providing timely and accurate financial reporting services to senior management and regulatory authorities.
• Assist in review of external financial reports, including special purpose GAAP and statutory financial reports for the Company and the insurance subsidiaries.
• Assist in the development and review of executive presentations, external communication data, and management presentations materials for inclusion in Board materials.
• Analyze financial reports for identification and presentation to management of key business trends.
• Assist other team members as a liaison for Corporate Finance with outside auditors.
• Assist the Supervisors, Manager and Director of Corporate Reporting on special projects as needed.
Education and Competencies
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
Plan for completing the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation
Progressive experience in accounting or financial reporting
Experience in both insurance statutory accounting and public accounting preferred #LI-CC2
