Duties
This position is located within the Department of the Interior, Bureaus of Safety and Environmental Enforcement, Human Resources Division, Strategic Human Capital Programs Branch.
Workforce Planning and Analysis Section in Sterling, VA.
At the full performance level (GS-13) the major duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following :
1. Provides management support services in the areas of workforce development and talent management (employee engagement, career progression, succession planning, employee recognition, workforce culture, competency and skill assessments and alignments).
2. Conducts workforce studies and projects that address the ability of the Bureau and clients to recruit, develop, and retain an adequate supply of individuals with appropriate competencies to accomplish the required work today and in the future.
3. Works within the organization to deliver training and educational services as appropriate including employee engagement, team enhancement, performance improvement, effective communication, and stress management techniques.
4. Utilizes employee feedback tools such as the Federal Employee Viewpoint Survey (FEVS), Climate Surveys, focus groups, exit surveys.
5. Provides supervisor with briefings, data analyses and recommendations on a wide variety of action issues, problems and questions that affect the facilities organizational design.
BSEE has determined that the duties of this position are suitable for telework and the selectee may be allowed to telework with supervisor approval.
Salary Range Information :
GS-09 : ($68,405 - $88,926) per annum.
GS-11 : ($82,764 - $107,590) per annum.
GS-12 : ($99,200 - $128,956) per annum.
First time hires to the federal government typically start at the beginning salary in the range for their respective grade level.
