• Main Duties: 

• -Assesses daily workload to estimate vehicle/trailer usage and determines the number of tractors and trailers required to ensure maximum service and fleet efficiency. 

• -Develops route stop sequence based on destinations, weight and the number of customer stops on each shipment to maximize route efficiency. Consolidates and splits routes as required to ensure maximum service as well as fleet efficiency.

• -Completes proper paperwork to verify pick-ups and deliveries 

• -Generates warehouse productivity reports regarding selection rates, receiving rates, and accounts for all labor hour both directly and indirectly in the warehouse. 

• -Checks picks by employees to ensure accuracy. Confirms pick tickets at the correct quantity within Agility system to ensure inventory is relieved from the proper inventory location and to ensure that the customer is invoiced for the proper quantity and dollar value. 

• -Responsible for warehouse inventory control, out of stock products, receiving errors, selection of errors, and warehouse slotting of products. 

• -Assists the Operation Manger in directing the day-to-day activities of the warehouse including shipping, receiving, sanitation, maintenance, inventory control, and other tasks as needed.

• -Handles general employee inquiries and solves problems. 

• -Ensures that all warehouse personnel have safe, efficient equipment in order to perform the distribution functions 

• -Implements warehouse safety programs in order to provide a safe and clean workplace for employees and within the regulations of all OSHA local and state regulations. 

• -Accurately pulls stock from assigned areas, using a forklift or picker when necessary, according to customer orders. 

• -Labels pallets, bundles and hand stacks with customer name and destination, and assembles material for delivery of customer orders in sequential order on the loading dock. 

• -Hand stacks, palletizes, and properly packs merchandise for safe and secure shipment. 

• -Docks empty vehicles and removes all merchandise and packing material from inside vehicles and loading area. Prepares empty vehicles for loading 

• -Loads trucks and vans with building materials by hand and with a forklift.

• -Verifies incoming freight item count with packing list and checks for damaged goods. 

• -Restocks merchandise and maintains current physical inventory check on products within assigned area. 

• -Cleans and maintains work area free from dirt and clutter to prevent accidents and allow for safe forklift movement within the warehouse. 

• - Expected to work overtime based on the operating needs of the business
