Overview

The Operations Specialist (OS) serves in a cross-functional capacity in Advisor Services. The OS offers support to the other 6 operations teams and serves as a knowledgeable bridge between the teams. This role is responsible for having a wide breadth of knowledge – the OS should be familiar with the processes and procedures of each BSP operational team, having the ability to assist with processing of most request types.

The OS may have 2-3 “specialization areas” (i.e. Cashiering & Transfers) where they are able to function at the same proficiency level as a specialist team member. In addition to processing and assisting with cross-departmental projects, the OS plays a crucial role in our DocuSign offering. This includes, but is not limited to, working with other OS team members to ensure the work is delegated in a manner that we are meeting our SLAs. In addition, the OS creates and sends DocuSign envelopes for signature, process the envelopes when they are returned, and overall is responsible to making the experience seamless for the advisor and their client. Flexibility is a key part of this role as an OS may be required to switch gears throughout the day in order to assist our operations teams with meeting critical processing cut-off times, particularly during periods of high-volume spikes.

The hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m to 5:00 p.m. Buckingham provides associates the opportunity to work a hybrid model. Teams are typically in the office 2 days per week and have the ability to work from home 3 days per week. This position requires some in-office work and cannot be 100% remote.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Commit at least 50-60% of the work week to processing advisor requests (additional time during high-volume seasons).
• Commit 40-50% of the work week to assisting the DocuSign effort.
• Communicate with advisors directly, both verbal and written.
• Assist and advise during process improvement efforts and new operational initiatives.
• Serve as an Advisor Services advocate, partner, and subject matter expert both inside and outside the organization.
• Occasional attendance at client events during and outside of normal business hours (National Conference, Operations Seminars, etc.)
• The OS may also be responsible for training and troubleshooting with internal associates and clients, particularly on our DocuSign offering.
• Overtime may be required, specifically around high-volume times such as the end of a quarter and tax season. This is a fast-paced environment requiring quick thinking and a constant desire to do our very best for our clients.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field
• Operations experience working closely with advisors and clients preferred.
