BSC Industries is Hiring a Remote Inside Sales Representative

We have an immediate full-time opening for an experienced Inside Sales professional in our Williston VT location. This is a great opportunity to join a growing, progressive industrial distribution company. The Inside sales position is responsible for expanding relationships with current customers, developing new customers, and providing excellent customer service with product expertise.

Job details:

Responsibilities

  • Work cooperatively with management, all other branch and division personnel, and outside sales reps to grow existing customers, create new customers, and increase customer satisfaction
  • Respond to customer inquiries at the sales counter, by phone and by email
  • Process customer orders, check availability of stock, shipping dates, quote pricing, fill orders to customer specifications
  • Apply mechanical principles to address customer needs
  • Provide solutions and recommend new and better products
  • Provide exceptional customer service

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of experience in the industrial distribution industry or an allied industry a plus
  • Experience in applying power transmission components to solve industrial applications, including speed reducers, brakes, pulleys, sprockets, gearing and electric motors a plus
  • Experience with Epicor Prophet 21or similar distribution software preferred, but not required
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills
  • Mechanical and mathematical aptitude
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, especially Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • High school diploma or equivalent
