Summary:

Represents manufacturer and sells product to customers, managing related systems and developing and maintaining relationships with customers, trade associations, and prospective clients. This position can work from a home office, if located outside of the Memphis area. A Company car is provided for this position.

Key Accountabilities:

• Represents manufacturer to current and prospective customers. Utilizes knowledge of flexible packaging and film converting operations and organization to sell products, service and capabilities.
• Maintains knowledge of sales territories and activities, product development, market conditions, etc. to identify potential customers and develop sales strategy.
• Obtains sales orders per established volume and profit contribution goals and product “fit” guidelines.
• Utilizes and manages systems related to sales such as Working Capital Control (receivables, overage inventory, etc.) Order Management, and Inventory Management and Expense Control. Adheres to budget (expenses less than or equal to 4% of sales).
• Works with Account Specialists and variety of internal providers including representatives from, Marketing, Production, Technical, and Logistics to ensure customer satisfaction through product quality and timely delivery. Provides feedback to support areas pertaining to quality and service.
• Develops and distributes on weekly sales activities.
• Establishes key contacts with customer organization through development of relationships with personnel representing Purchasing, Quality, Production, Executive, Technical, Marketing and related areas.
• Assists customers in resolving quality issues by visual examination of materials and arranging for testing as required.
• Makes sales calls on regular basis, traveling to customers via automobile and airplane and contacts potential customers to schedule appointments.
• Works with other managers to coordinate efforts between departments and maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
• Performs other related duties as required.
