Account Representative Job Description

Reports to: Sales Manager

Summary

Representing Chambers and Owen at account level promoting all Chambers and Owen programs and services. Continually maintaining store sets and plan-o-grams. Perform additional functions and duties. The territory is in northern Chicago suburbs and southeastern Wisconsin state line.

Job Duties

→ Category Management: Maintains and updates accounts plan-o-grams, introduces new items, updates tags, utilizes hi to low reports and promotes the Perfect Planogram Program.

→ Professional Selling: Promoting Chambers and Owen product programs and building and maintaining strong relationships with key decision makers. Frequently meeting with store owners to address any issues and pertinent information.

→ Retail Management: A basic understanding of Retail management Services (RMS). Maintaining account retails and departments.

→ Deli/Beverage Management: Promoting beverage and foodservice programs by providing leads for the Foodservice Beverage Reps.

→ New Account Management: Continually solicit for new business in existing or new territories. Collaborating with internal team members such as marketing and transportation to ensure smooth execution of initiatives.

→ Accounts Receivable Managements: Daily Communication with credit manager. Collecting all accounts in terms. Balancing and depositing collections accurately and timely. Properly writing up all returns and credits.

→ Route Management: Sales calls are Monday through Thursday with Friday used for other field activities and sales meetings. Edge training, enforce cutoff times, delivery scheduling and forwarding pertinent customer information to proper personnel.

→ Minimum Job Qualifications: A high school degree or equivalent is required. Must have a reliable vehicle in decent shape. Must have current driver’s license and insurance. Experience dealing directly with convenience store retailers is required.
