Brush Research Manufacturing is a pioneer and leader in the brush Industry, and we are seeking a talented Manufacturing Supervisor

Requirements:

Maintain acceptable attendance and punctuality

3 years previous experience supervising 15 or more employees.

Verifiable previous job experience

Above average computer skills in Microsoft and excel

2 years’ experience working with ERP/MRP system

Able to lift 50lbs

Fluent in Spanish preferred

Summary:

This position is responsible for the safety and productivity of departmental leads and employees staffed in the production plant and reports directly to the production manager.

Additionally, the Manufacturing Supervisor position is accountable for ensuring that production scheduled for completion is executed in a timely manner and within all quality parameters in each production department.

As Production Manufacturing Supervisor you will be responsible for communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees.

The Production Supervisor will direct the activities of the department leads, interview and hire staff for departments and develop personal growth opportunities. This challenging position places high premiums on effective leadership, clear communication, documentation, intelligent judgment, ability to lead a team and resolve problems.

Responsibilities:

Lead a consistently high performing team atmosphere

Continuous Improvement of department processes- Defined by ongoing goals and objectives, agreed upon by management, supervisors and leads.

In depth knowledge of ISO 9001-2015 and the BRM Quality Manual-Quality of product in the department Ensure employees knows Quality Policy -Ensure employees knows how to complete a Yellow Tag and inspection forms- NMR procedures and the ability to complete independently Final Inspection on Job Tickets

Ensure complete understanding of management objectives are understood by all departmental employees.

Safety in the department(s)- Promote safety amongst all employees. Remove any potential or existing safety hazards. Participate in safety meetings and discussions

Housekeeping- Ensure department(s) are clean, organized and arranged in the most efficient manner using 6S principles.

Department performance reporting-Distribute responsibilities to department leads- Ensure Lot and in-process inspections are completed- Review department performance data with department leads at least weekly but preferably daily as systems permit.

Conduct employee reviews and discipline

Ensure that department(s) Produces at a rate equivalent or better than job ticket times

Material receiving inspection- Confirm all materials (Raw, Supplies, Maintenance items, etc..) received are correct.

Raw Material Inventories- Notify Production Manager and/or Production/Inventory Control Manager of material shortages. Conduct an accurate inventory count

Responsible for equipment in production department(s)-Issue Maintenance Work Orders for preventative or repair situations. Work with maintenance to make sure spare parts/wear parts are available.

Facilitate employee training

Identify resource needs and communicate them to management

Delegate responsibilities to ensure maximum effectiveness of department(s)

Know, follow and adhere to all company policies

Encourage positive employee moral

Intense commitment and passion to the overall success of Brush Research Manufacturing

Compensation- $21.00 to $28.00 hour- DOE
