Brunswick County is Hiring an Administrative Assistant II - Public Utilities Near Supply, NC
JOB Brunswick County is currently accepting applications for an Administrative Assistant II to join our Public Utilities Department. Brunswick County Public Utilities provides water and wastewater services to individual, retail, and wholesale customers across the county. Our Public Utility team is committed to the community and takes a lot of pride in providing a high level of service to our customers every day. The Administrative Assistant II works closely with department leadership (including Director, Deputy Director, Managers, Superintendents, etc.) and performs skilled administrative and clerical work in support of effective and efficient Public Utilities operations. Work includes: Maintaining complex and detailed files and records, reports, documents, and correspondence.Transcribing and independently preparing correspondence.Preparing informational brochures, presentations, etc.Responding to requests for information regarding department and county operations, policies, and procedures.Assisting with the preparation of annual department budget and projected expenditures, including creating spreadsheets, performing data entry, etc.Preparing meeting agendas; taking meeting minutes and distributing as appropriate. Supporting the recruitment and on-boarding of new employees, including scheduling interviews, preparing new hire paperwork, coordinating department orientation, etc. The Administrative Assistant II regularly interacts with Utility leadership and employees, other county department heads and employees, property owners, contractors, engineers, developers, and the general public.
