Position Overview
Brundage Bone is seeking a Business Operations Manager to join our dynamic team. Reporting directly to the President of Operations, the Business Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between corporate finance, accounting, and general operations. The ideal candidate will possess an accounting background and experience, coupled with strong analytical skills, with a desire to work directly with operations teams to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
· Collaborate closely with the President of Operations, Regional Directors, Branch Managers, and other operations leaders to analyze profit and loss statements, review administrative processes and procedures and adherence to expectations.
· Act as a liaison between corporate finance, accounting, and operational teams, facilitating communication and collaboration to drive business objectives.
· Identify areas of cost leakage and inefficiency and develop strategies to address and mitigate these issues.
· Participate in strategic planning and decision-making processes, providing insights and recommendations to enhance operational performance.
· Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all relevant processes, leveraging technology to maximize efficiencies and productivity.
· Establish and maintain an appropriate control environment to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
· Provide leadership and guidance to operations personnel, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence.
· Develop and implement training programs to enhance the financial acumen of operations teams.
· Monitor industry trends and best practices and incorporate relevant insights into operational strategies and initiatives.
· Other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, financial management, or related field, preferably in the construction industry.
· Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to interpret financial data and metrics.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
· Demonstrated leadership abilities with a track record of driving results and managing change.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and experience with financial management software.
· Strong Microsoft Excel skills
· Knowledge of construction industry regulations and compliance requirements is desirable.
· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to evolving business needs.
· Commitment to upholding company values and fostering a culture of safety, integrity, and excellence.
Additional Information
· This position does not initially have direct reports but is intended to evolve into a role with direct supervisory responsibilities.
· Schedule: Typically Monday - Friday
· 25% Travel: 2-3 nights at time, every other week or as required to various branch locations.
· Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 DOE
