COMPANY BACKGROUND: Broadstep has been a leader in providing a continuum of physical, emotional, and mental support for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD), mental illness, and co-occurring disorders for over 45 years. Position Overview: This HR Business Partner will provide both tactical and strategic HR by partnering with the state operations leader. The incumbent will utilize experience and expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives while affecting short-term and long-term business goals. This role is responsible for supporting both union and non-union employees across multiple location. DUTIES AND REPONSIBILITIES: Use data and analytics to inform key business and talent decisions Champion the application and interpretation of HR systems- policies- and programs ensuring compliance with federal and state employment laws. Ensure to demonstrate Broad step’s mission and values Build strong relationships with employees and advocate for their job enrichment- engagement- and development Manages employee & labor relations by investigating- resolving and communicating employee questions- issues- concerns- grievances- and work with state leader to execute union labor strategy. Own and implement human resource processes- including the following workforce planning- talent management - compensation administration- organizational change/effectiveness and process improvement. Evaluate business challenges while developing and recommending solutions. Collaborate with local leaders including Quality and Compliance to ensure timely and consistent closure to Employee Relations concerns. Advise clients regarding promotion and career progression decisions, including effects on organizational design Other responsibilities as assigned QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of 2 years HR Generalist experienceA BS/BA degree from an accredited university Experience including coaching/counseling- performance management- worker’s compensation- employee relations and investigations- etc. Ability to balance role as an employee advocate and business partner while maintaining neutrality and credibility with the organization The proven ability to objectively coach employees and management through routine and complex employee relations matters. Possess accurate and updated knowledge of Federal and State laws applicable to wages- hours- working conditions- safety- labor relations- etc. to ensure compliance with state/federal legal requirements
