Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Office Manager & Dental Assistant to join our team. As an Office Manager as well as Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. This position is ideal for individuals with a strong background in healthcare and a passion for helping others.
Responsibilities:
-If manager role wanted, previous management experience recommended but not required- even the passion for growth or management is encouraged.
- for assistant, a main role is to Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including preparing materials and instruments
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Schedule patient appointments and manage the dental office calendar
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and HIPAA regulations
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification as a Dental Assistant is preferred
- Previous experience working in a dental office or similar healthcare setting is strongly preferred
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Proficient computer skills, including experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems
Skills:
- Hospital experience
- Medical office experience
- Critical care experience
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Understanding of healthcare management principles
- Budgeting skills for managing supplies and equipment inventory
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy protection
- Utilization management skills for optimizing resources and patient care outcomes
- Basic understanding of human resources practices in a healthcare setting
