Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting the dentist during procedures, preparing treatment rooms, and ensuring the comfort of our patients. If you are a detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills and a passion for dental healthcare, we would love to hear from you.
Duties:
- Prepare treatment rooms for dental procedures by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available
- Assist the dentist during procedures by handing them instruments, suctioning fluids, and providing support as needed
- Take dental x-rays as directed by the dentist
- Perform basic laboratory tasks such as pouring and trimming models, fabricating temporary crowns, and taking impressions
- Provide post-operative instructions to patients and answer any questions they may have
- Maintain accurate patient records by documenting treatment plans, procedures performed, and any other relevant information
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Assist with scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and handling administrative tasks as needed
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred
- Familiarity with medical documentation and terminology
- Proficiency in taking vital signs and performing patient assessments
- Knowledge of infection control protocols and HIPAA regulations
- Experience with dental software systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is a plus
