Champaign-Urbana Public Health District is Hiring a Dentist Near Champaign, IL

Full-time Dentist

The Champaign-Urbana Public Health District (CUPHD) is seeking a full-time General Dentist to provide services for children ages 0-18. The selected candidate will be working with the dental team to bring quality dental care to at-risk children.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provided services will include composite restorations, SSC, RCT, SDF, pulpectomies, pulpotomies, simple extractions and unilateral space maintainers.
  • Performing asynchronous dental exams in our school-based sealant program, as needed.
  • Supervising Public Health Dental Hygienists under a collaborative agreement.

Requirements include:

  • A Doctorate degree in Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) or Medical Dentistry (D.M.D.)
  • A current license to practice general dentistry and/or specialty in the State of Illinois
  • Current DEA registration
  • Current Illinois Medicaid provider number is required or must be obtained prior to start date.
  • Experience with electronic dental records such as Curve Hero, Dentrix or Eaglesoft is highly recommended
  • Bilingual is highly recommended. CUPHD offers qualified bilingual employees’ additional compensation once approved

The starting annual salary for this position is $128,500 for a 32-hour work week with a $5,000 sign-on bonus.
