Bristol Facilities is Hiring a Director of Operations Near Atlanta, GA

Director of Operations

Position Overview

Bristol is a rapidly growing facilities and workforce management company with concentration in the healthcare and education markets and is currently seeking a dynamic Director of Operations that has the skill set and experience with (a) the management of client service delivery metrics, (b) oversight of a field organization, (c) demonstrated competency in budgeting and expense control, and (d) has a track record of intelligent revenue growth. The knowledge and skills to implement common practices and procedures.

The Director of Operations should have the competency, skill and experience to design, implement, and manage:


  • A large, multi-location staff
  • Time & Attendance scheduling efficiencies
  • Client contract administration - renewals/rate increases
  • Facilities pricing models and the optimization of gross margin
  • Worker's Compensation management
  • Customer Satisfaction and (KPI measurement)
  • P & L responsibility with a history of corrective action(s)
  • Budget development
  • Field application of Progressive Discipline
  • Safety and Training Programs
  • Technology implementation to improve profitability
  • Identification and execution against strategic growth opportunities

The Director of Operations will need to be able to direct, monitor and control all aspects of field service delivery. This position should expect travel to interface with subordinates, resolve any outstanding client service related issues, understand potential legal matters and be part of new job starts.

Geographic Expansion: There exists the potential opportunity to expand into new cities in the future. It is expected that the Director of Operations will be part of any transition team as new locations are opened, and new clients are added to the mix.

Primary Functions:

  • Serve as a link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting and administering contracts and helping resolve service related issues.
  • Analyze monthly Profit Statements. Design and implement changes needed to ensure adherence to financial objectives
  • Advise managers on organizational policy matters (such as equal employment opportunity and sexual harassment); recommend needed changes.
  • Perform difficult staffing duties, including discipline of field managers.
  • Plan and conduct new employee orientation for field level Managers and Supervisors to foster a positive attitude toward organizational objectives.
  • Identify staff vacancies and recruit, interview and select applicants in conjunction with other corporate managers.
  • Plan, direct, supervise and coordinate work activities of subordinates and staff relating to client satisfaction and compliance with established KPI's.
  • Plan, organize, direct, control or coordinate the personnel training activities of the organization.
  • Represent the organization at personnel-related hearing and investigations as appropriate.
  • Strategic administration of performance management and safety systems. Function as part of the corporate team that drives down insurance costs through improved performance.

Requirements

  • 10 years current sales experience in Building Services or Facilities arena
  • Demonstrated success as a top operational performer, consistently exceeding targets and budgets
  • Proven business-to-business experience with Director Level and Facility Level Management
  • Proven leadership and management to Operations Management and Supervisor Levels
