This a position to serve as a teacher assistant in a private Christian school that serves inner-city children with a quality academic and Christ-centered education. We have small class sizes and great rewards!

We are seeking someone who would serve as a teacher assistant, possibly floating between different classrooms. This person may also be placed in a classroom as a substitute teacher at times when needed. We are looking for someone who is flexible and willing to learn!

The inner-city has been called America’s “third world”. For families living in our community, violent crime, drug and alcohol abuse, gang activity, teenage pregnancy, illiteracy, substandard housing, and hunger are not just heart wrenching stories seen on the news; tragically, they are a way of life. We can no longer afford to look the other way or to turn a deaf ear to the cries of those who are paying the incredible cost of poverty – our children. We have heard their cries and have answered our Lord’s call to fight for them. Will you join us?

Skills needed: teachable, self-motivated, disciplined, dependable, team player, respectful, missions oriented, friendly personality, good communication skills, adept at classroom management, and familiar with technology.
