Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated High School Teacher to join our team. Westland School educates students from Kindergarten to 12th grade, and our team is committed to providing all learners with a positive and rigorous educational experience.

Responsibilities:

- Develop engaging lesson plans according to state standards with curriculum guidelines
- Utilize various teaching methods and materials to meet diverse student needs
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress
- Communicate regularly with student guardians about their child's academic performance
- Implement behavior management strategies to ensure safe and productive learning environment
- Create a positive classroom environment that promotes mutual respect and encourages active participation
- Implement IEP/504 Plan accommodations and modifications and provide annual feedback for students with IEPs

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or subject related field
- Valid teaching certification/license
- Strong knowledge of the subject matter (e.g. Algebra, Biology, Physics)
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to effectively implement feedback/ideas from observations and professional development
- Experience with tutoring or providing educational supports to students is a plus
