Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated High School Teacher to join our team. We are a small credit recovery charter high school located off the I-17 and Glendale Ave that has been serving the families of our community for 24 years. We offer high school age students the opportunity to participate in a trimester based academic program consisting of (3) sixty day sessions, 180 days of school. We are looking to fill two teaching positions for the 2024-25 school year (August through May) in any of the following content areas: US History/World History/Government/Economics, Science, Mathematics, and English.
Our school day is from 8am to 2:45pm and teachers will work one of the three following schedules: 8am - 2:45pm, 8am - 1:45pm, 9am - 2:45pm. We have a blended learning model that is a combination of teacher direct instruction and an already developed computer curriculum for students to take their quizzes and tests with. Each classroom is equipped with 20-24 computers to accommodate each student having their own computer. The ideal candidate will have a passion for educating high school students and fostering their academic growth and personal development. We are looking for people that are change makers and desire to positively impact the lives of the young people within our school. We have a well established culture and are interested in pursuing educators that are passionate people interested in joining our team of dedicated professionals. Teachers that will help to speak into the lives of the students, encourage them, believe in them, help them cast a vision for their future, and find their purpose. All these amazing things, while also offering them a quality education in a small school environment to help them realize their potential and post secondary education plans.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee computer curriculum lesson plans already created that meet state standards.
- Provide mentoring to students
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Utilize various teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience
- Participate in our High School Prom, spirit weeks, field trips, and graduation ceremony.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- Highly Qualified Passing score on a High School Subject knowledge exam. - IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Proven experience working with high school students
- Strong knowledge in one of the following subjects Math, Science, Social Studies, Government/Economics, and/or English.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- K-12 Teaching Certificate and experience a plus
