Description

Role:

Provide support for the human resource department that includes a range of administrative duties, with a primary focus on recruitment, to be handled with a maximum level of confidentiality and discretion. Interface with management, staff, and vendors of the credit union.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  1. Work proactively with hiring managers to understand immediate and upcoming staffing needs while following approved staffing levels and develop recruitment strategies to address those needs.
  2. Utilize creative, professional, and ethical recruiting methods to help identify candidates for open positions. Build networks and utilize sourcing tools to find qualified active and passive candidates.
  3. Use applicant tracking programs to organize candidate resumes, search candidates, complete requested reporting, and maintain compliance as required.
  4. Participate in recruitment activities, including creation and placement of job postings to appropriate sources to drive applicant traffic.
  5. Review potential candidates’ resumes and applications, assess results of any pre-employment screenings, and conduct initial interviews to assess fit for position. Coordinate follow-up interviews as appropriate and participate in other hiring activities such as background screening and offer preparation.
  6. Prepare staffing-related reports, and monitor employment statistics, such as retention rate, vacancy factor, and time to fill open positions. Recommend strategies to address identified needs.
  7. Serve as primary liaison between candidates and the credit union throughout the recruitment and on-boarding process.
  8. Ensure proper coordination of and assist with new hire on-boarding and orientation scheduling.
  9. Use performance management tools to provide guidance and feedback to managers and/or supervisors.
  10. Processes new hires, terminations, and personnel changes.
  11. Manages internal transfer and promotion process.
  12. Maintains all personnel files and records for the organization.
  13. Manage application/resume file and retention according to company policy.
  14. Ensures that the confidentiality of all information and transactions regarding the credit union, its members, and its employees is held to the highest level of business ethics.
  15. Creates and maintains HR related reports on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  16. Recommends new approaches for continual improvements in efficiency while assisting credit union personnel in accordance with policies and procedures.
  17. Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment and benefits laws and regulations.
  18. Assist with other human resource functions and projects and serve as limited backup for payroll and benefits as needed.
  19. Provides administrative assistance as needed.
  20. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
  21. Comply with all federal regulations, credit union policies and procedures, including Bank Secrecy and the USA Patriot Act.
  22. Comply with all fair lending laws and the prohibitions enumerated in the credit union’s lending policy.
  23. Actively supports the mission, vision, and core values of the Credit Union to deliver excellent service.

Qualifications


Position Requirements:

  • Minimum two years of human resources experience required.
  • A high school education or GED required.
  • PHR/SHRM-CP required.
  • Bachelor’s degree with concentration in Human Resources preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills.
  • Ability to analyze data for equitable resolutions.
  • Ability to manage projects through to completion.
  • Proficient with problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Paycom Administrator experience preferred.
  • Experience utilizing Predictive Index, Performance Pro or Quantum Workplace a plus.
  • Ability to work regular full-time hours.
  • Ability to work on-site at designated location.
  • Ability to travel to other locations as necessary.
  • Ability to communicate with courtesy, tact, and diplomacy and model exemplary member service.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications.
  • Must be bondable

Ergonomic Considerations:

  • Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time (6 to 7 hours per day).
  • Must be able to view a computer screen, use a keyboard to enter information, and manipulate a mouse.
  • Job includes some repetitive hand/wrist motions.
  • Ability to operate office machinery.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
