Description

Role:

Performs a variety of lending support functions for the consumer loan department and provides member service primarily for loan collateral related questions and issues.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1. Answer incoming calls from members and credit union staff and provide information regarding titles and the lien filing processes and procedures.
2. Review all titling documentation for accuracy prior to submission to titling agency.
3. Prepare and process all titling documents through electronic vehicle registration program, DMV offices or Parks and Wildlife in timely manner. Obtain registration and tags when applicable.
4. Assist loan officers/loan processors with resolving any title issues.
5. Review and scan final title documentation receive from titling agency.
6. Keep tracking log of pending titles or title issues. Follow up on pending titles with dealerships and other financial institutions. Provide monthly updates of pending titles to VP of Lending.
7. Keep current with applicable laws through the DMV websites.
8. Monitor release of titles for paid-in-full loans.
9. Prepare reports and submit payments for premiums for credit life and disability, single interest, GAP and Auto Warranty coverage.
10. Process all member disability, death and GAP claims as well as warranty refunds and cancellations.
11. Review loan documents.
12. Monitor BVSCUs lienholder interest in member provided property & casualty insurance coverage.
13. Serve as back-up to receptionist at Administration as assigned.
14. Responsible for following all rules and regulations including those pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act.
15. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Position Requirements:

• A high school education or GED required.
• Previous title filing experience preferred.
• Ability to work regular full time hours.
• Ability to work on-site at designated location.
• Ability to communicate with courtesy, tact, and diplomacy and model exemplary member service.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications.
• Must be bondable

Ergonomic Considerations:

• Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time (6 to 7 hours per day).
• Must be able to view a computer screen, use a keyboard to enter information, and manipulate a mouse.
• Job includes some repetitive hand/wrist motions.
• Ability to operate office machinery.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
