We currently have an opening for the following position: IT Support Specialist
Overview:
The IT Support Specialist main areas of responsibility include providing strong customer service and technical support throughout all branches of the organization, maintaining the computer networks, and strategizing and implementing IT- related projects. The IT Support Specialist must be knowledgeable in all aspects of computer support, diligent, and analytical; they also must possess outstanding communication skills. The IT Support Specialist is under the general supervision of the IT Service Manager. 
Location: South Bend, Indiana
Schedule: Monday – Friday 8-5pm
FLSA Status: Full-time, Exempt, salary

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Customer Service, Internal and External 
  • IT Training & On-Boarding / Off-Boarding 
  • Internal IT Support 
  • IT and Systems Planning 
  • Coordinating External IT Services 
  • Application Development Projects 
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Serves as the point of contact for all IT-related issues for all branches of the organization. 
  • Ability to troubleshoot common IT issues.
  • Strategizes, plans, and implements IT-related projects. 
  • Performs strategic project management including Cloud, Application Development, and Automation Initiatives. 
  • Improves existing programs by reviewing objectives and specifications, evaluating proposed changes, recommending changes, and making modifications.
  • Implements and monitors training programs including but not limited to: Phishing training, desk-phone training, etc.
  • Transitions and combines network drives, email domains, etc.
  • Researches and conducts the implementation of various operating platforms.
  • Develops organizational plans for networks in an effort of saving and storing documents.
  • Deploys, maintains, and replaces company equipment, including smartphones.
  • Coordinates with IT vendor with projects, office relocations, etc.
  • Maintains current inventory of technology hardware, software and resources. 
  • Manages vendor agreements.
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer and Information Science or equivalent is preferred. 
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of equivalent experience in a business environment.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal and customer service skills required. 
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage projects from inception through execution.
  • Office 365 administration experience.
  • Zendesk Administration experience preferred. 
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
