Position Overview:Evening & Weekend HoursMust be 18 As a Package Store Clerk you are responsible for completing various tasks related to the stocking, organization and maintenance of the department. RESPONSIBILITIES:Unload delivery trucks and stock shelves with products based on store plan.Rotate products as instructed by leadershipExperience with various beer, wine and liquor products Ensuring correct change is provided if it is a cash transaction Counting and reconciling cash drawer at the beginning and end of the shiftEfficiently bag and package customer purchase, ensuring items are handled with careStay informed about products, prices and promotions to effectively assist customers and promote salesMonitor inventory levels and restock shelves to ensure products are readily available to customersRemove any damaged or expired items to maintain highest level of qualityMaintaining quality standards of product throughout shift – working in a damage free mannerAssist customers in locating products and provide information such as prices, sales etcAnswer customer inquiries and address any concerns or issues related to department – communicating accordingly to leadershipKeep the department clean and sanitized which includes display bins and shelvesRemove products that do not meet store quality standards and dispose of according to store policiesCommunicate effectively with management regarding inventory levels, sales and any issues within the departmentEnsure accurate pricing and labeling of all items and update/change price tags as neededPerform other duties as assigned by leadershipEnvironment:ServeSafe approved temperature Schedule:Weekday and Weekend hours as needed Experience:Preferred: Zero to One (0-1) years retail/grocery experience Skills:Physical abilities: May be required to lift up to 80-85lbs.; standing, bending, lifting and twisting for up to 90% of your shift; frequently lifting product from various heights including floor level to over your head; Ability to stand or walk at least 10 hours daily; working in various temperature controlled environments; the ability to operate required material handling equipment – getting on and off equipment throughout shiftStrong communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with peers and leaders on a daily basisOrganizational Skills: Ability to fulfill customer orders in a timely manner; ability to prioritize and meet deadlinesWorking in a team based environment: Working independently and as a team player to ensure our customers are receiving orders timely and with the highest quality Quality: Maintain integrity and high standards of product handling from all perspectivesSafety Culture: Maintain and drive safety policies; driving for accountability of safe practices throughout shift
