An exciting opportunity now exists to join BOXX Technologies! We are searching for an enthusiastic, hard-working, and driven Network Engineer II to join our team in Austin, TX. 

Position Summary:

Lead technical efforts to plan, design, deploy, test and troubleshoot network infrastructure to support a high-performance workstation as a service business serving professional content creators in the Architecture, Media and Entertainment and Engineering sectors. 

Education/Experience: 

Bachelor of Science in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field

7 years of experience as a Network Engineer, Systems Engineer, or equivalent.

Technical Knowledge:

• Networking with Cisco (Meraki), pfSense, Juniper or Arista OS
• High Level Security Concepts including firewalls and secure network tunneling.
• Networking requirements of Remote Desktop Technologies: PCoIP, RDP etc.
• Cloud integration with Azure, AWS or Google 
• Microsoft Active Directory
• VLANs, SD-WAN and similar network technologies and concepts
• Network testing for issue troubleshooting, performance etc.

Skills and Abilities:

• Documenting networks topologies and deployments with Visio or similar tools
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Office 365 Tools 
• Excellent organizational skills 
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to apply concepts of basic addition, subtraction, division and multiplication
• Statistical analysis knowledge
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or inventory protocols and regulations
• Ability to write reports and business correspondence
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from internal and external groups
• Strong overall verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Ability to generate test plans
• Ability to generate test reports
• Ability to configure computer systems, troubleshoot to the subassembly level, and interface with OEM vendors on issues related to hardware, software, and firmware

Unique Duties/Responsibilities:

• Design and document network topologies.
• Install, configure, and test network hardware
• Troubleshoot issues, find root causes, identify and implement corrective actions.
• Manage network related support escalations and work with the team to find and implement resolutions.
• Work with product management team on new technologies and methods
• Document processes, settings and similar related information
• Provide pre-sales technical support for Business Development and Sales teams on customer calls
• Own the networking section of the CRD (Customer Requirements Document) during the sales process and lead the team to implement the requirements when onboarding new customers.
