At the direction of the Assistant Superintendent of Opportunity and Access, the Director of STEAM provides visioning, leadership, and instructional action planning in Science, Math, Fine & Performing Arts, Physical Education, and Social Studies. Collaborate with College and Career Readiness team in the areas of Technology and Engineering. Provide content leadership that includes but is not limited to evidence based instruction, culturally responsive practices, data driven assessment and instruction, standards expertise, professional learning and MTSS structures. Additionally, the STEAM Director supports building leaders and schools to implement all components of the instructional infrastructure, as well as partners with other academic departments to ensure the district conditions related to content areas are enabling execution of Strategic Plan initiatives in schools.
