Borger Residential is Hiring a Front Desk Concierge Near Washington, DC

Job Description

Borger Residential is a community and industry respected full-service property Management Company, with over 80 years of experience in the District of Columbia and the surrounding suburbs. Originally founded in 1930 by the grandfather of the current stockholders, Borger has evolved to become one of the largest property management firms in DC, now managing more than 6000 units and 2 million square feet of commercial space throughout the DC Metro Area, and it continues to grow. Over the past thirty years, the firm has specialized in the renovation, management, and development of multi-family and commercial properties.

Position Summary

The concierge is responsible for greeting residents and guests, directing calls and maintaining the presentable upkeep of the lobby and common areas daily. He/She must represent the company and its relations with residents and employees, reflect the attitudes, policies and general personality of the property.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for serving as the first point of contact for all guests, residents, and potential residents
  • Answering and transferring calls to the respective property employee
  • Responding to inquiries pertaining to the property from guests or residents.
  • Responsible for ensuring a professional and courteous environment.
  • Duties include but are not limited to any task assigned by management related to the entire property operations, which comprise of tasks in the Business/Leasing and Engineering offices
  • Monitor and control general lobby and common areas to ensure adherence with company policies.
  • Assist with any deliveries or vendors as they arrive at the property.
  • Collect any service request from residents and distribute to the maintenance staff.
  • Assist managers and other staff members with work to be done.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and display a good attitude at all times.
  • Report immediately any incidents or accidents occurring on the site to the Resident Manager.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years front desk, office, administrative, or customer service experience
  • Consistent work history
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Computer proficient
  • Previous experience working in Property Management preferred
  • Reliable
  • Ability to work with limited supervision

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 per week

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Overnight shift

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Front desk: 2 years (Preferred)

Shift availability:

  • Day Shift (Preferred)
  • Overnight Shift (Preferred)

Ability to Relocate:

  • Washington, DC 20008: Relocate before starting work (Preferred)
