The Opportunity:
Are you interested in using your technical expertise and people skills to assist our Federal client in their mission to establish a modernized data and technology presence? Our team is looking for a technical writer to develop clear and helpful technical documentation that both our team and our customers can use in their efforts to support the client's data modernization goals.
As a technical writer on our team, you will be responsible for collaborating with data engineers, developers, public health experts, and others to shepherd technical documentation from conception to publication. The type of documentation you will be working on will cover a variety of topics related to data modernization activities to support our client’s public health mission.
We need someone who can help our team members translate complex subjects and processes into accessible and well-structured guidance material. You must be able to use your writing skills to assist readers in drawing connections between granular concepts and big picture ideas.
Outside of just writing, you will also need to be an excellent communicator. Being able to facilitate discussions between subject matter experts (SMEs) and leadership is vital to ensuring that the documentation we produce for both our clients and team members is meaningful and professional. You should be capable of effectively coordinating with SMEs on numerous teams about concerns or questions you have as they relate to deadlines, documentation, or any other similar matters.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $52,100.00 to $119,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
