Position Summary

The Financial Analyst will work with the government entity to provide financial oversight and audit analysis for high dollar, complex contracts. Responsible for tasks such as reviewing invoices, tracking accruals and variances, monitoring contract burn rates, and providing analysis for requested reports.

Position Responsibilities

• Responds to ad-hoc queries and supports data-driven decisions leveraging existing government-provided universal standard contract management reports and dashboards.
• Collects, compiles and provides data call inputs or reports, to include trend analysis, to create refined submissions.
  Collects and analyzes contract data for reporting purposes, supports ongoing trend and detailed analyses across the DOA portfolio with regard to performance, financials, and service delivery.
• Monitors Option periods, expiration dates and contract burn rates across the DOA portfolio.
• Conducts initial reviews of complex invoices and documents any deficiencies or errors.
• Assists with tracking monthly accruals and provides rationale for variances.
• Provides detailed reports and dashboard visualization for contract and spend data using an existing government approved intelligence tool such as Microsoft Power BI.
• Conducts initial reviews and provide analysis of cost and price proposals submitted for DOA acquisitions.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
• Minimum of 5 years demonstrated experience in the Federal acquisition process
• Ability to work with individuals at all organizational and management levels
• Demonstrated capability to review and provide substantive analysis of price proposals related to acquisitions
• Demonstrated ability to analyze significant amounts of data, records and files, report findings of such analysis and make recommendations
• Strong proficiency with MS Office Suite; Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Power BI; SharePoint
• Attention to detail and organizational skills
• Good communication skills
