Parts, Service, Sales Manager - Motorcycle Dealership
Bob’s Motorcycles recently added Ducati to our long-established BMW dealership, and we are looking for a highly motivated manager to train, coach, and support our dedicated sales team in the New & Used Motorcycle Sales, Service, Parts/Accessories, and Apparel Departments. Base salary is roughly $75-80K with bonuses based on goal achievement.
Responsibilities:
  • Guide, supervise, and coach the sales team to increase sales and profits.
  • Drive sales through effective personnel management, established performance standards, and best practices.
  • Ensure adherence to sales processes and legal requirements.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
Requirements:
  • Motorcycling knowledge and enthusiasm for cool things on wheels.
  • Strong work ethic and high ethical standards.
  • Full understanding of effective customer service and sales concepts.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong personnel management experience and coaching skills.
  • Ability to build trust and rapport with others and interact positively and professionally at all levels.
  • Strong math and computer skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • At least 2 years sales and supervisory experience, preferably in retail or automotive sales environments.
Primary Duties:
Employee Management:
  • Monitor, train, and coach sales personnel in all departments.
  • Develop effective training programs related to sales and customer service.
  • Develop specific goals and objectives for each salesperson and monitor overall effectiveness throughout the sales process.
  • Create systems that ensure ongoing sales training, including weekly sales meetings.
  • Provide regular and annual feedback to sales personnel during career development sessions.
  • Counsel employees as performance problems arise. Seek employee ownership of the problem, and be positive, supportive, and encouraging as they strive to solve it. Recommend next steps to the general manager if performance does not improve.
  • Ensure regular use of sales prospecting, traffic control, and follow-up systems to increase and retain business.
  • Track weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance and sales metrics.
  • Assist sales personnel and team in meeting and exceeding goals.
Customer Service:
  • Understand customer needs and offer solutions and support.
  • Build relationships with customers, vendors, and manufacturers to increase sales and build a professional network.
  • Demonstrate excellent customer care and focus.
  • Respond effectively to customer inquiries or complaints, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
Planning and Strategy:
  • Meet with the general manager to review monthly forecasts, commission sheets, productivity reports, and the profit performance of each department as a whole and each salesperson individually.
  • Partner with operations manager to develop and implement cross-department sales systems, processes, and procedures and ensure that they are understood.
  • Work with marketing manager to plan, organize, and staff special events and ride promotions to engage customers and attract new prospects.
Other duties as requested.
