Bob's Motorcycles is Hiring a Business / Finance Manager - Motorcycle Dealership (FT) Near Jessup, MD

Bob’s Motorcycles has a rare opportunity for an experienced, personable, and motivated individual to manage our Finance and Insurance Department. We have a sterling reputation for honesty and transparency and a highly capable sales and administrative support team in place. Volume is currently around 450 units annually with earnings potential at $100K-$125K. We expect a substantial increase to both volume and earnings potential with the new addition of Ducati to our BMW line. Workweek is Tuesday through Saturday. Previous F&I management experience and enthusiasm for motorcycles preferred.
Responsibilities:Manage the efficient closing and financing function of the motorcycle sales process. Ensure accurate and timely completion of final delivery paperwork. Ensure compliance with all company policies and state and federal laws and regulations while delivering an exceptional customer experience. Achieve targeted profit margins and product sales.
Requirements:
  • Highest ethical and professional standards.
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills; ability to build relationships with staff, customers, and external contacts.
  • Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of state regulations regarding finance and the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
  • Two to four years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient with MS Office, computer software, and internet.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve high-performance goals and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driver record; motorcycle endorsement preferred.
Ability to:
  • Regularly work a Tuesday-Saturday schedule.
  • Read, analyze, and interpret a variety of instructions, general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
  • Write reports, business correspondence, and procedures.
  • Effectively present information and respond to questions from customers, managers, staff, lenders, and others.
  • Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentage; apply concepts of basic algebra.
  • Obtain a state sales license.
Preferred:
  • 2 years of experience as a Finance Manager.
  • DealerTrack, AppOne, Lightspeed EVO experience.
  • Motorcycling knowledge, experience, and enthusiasm.

Primary duties:
  • Assist sales team with all aspects of structuring customer purchases, closing, and delivery. Structure deals accurately and in accordance with lender and dealership guidelines.
  • Perform credit interview, prepare credit application when needed.
  • Verify accuracy of all material information on credit applications, assemble funding packages, and submit lender bundles within required time frames.
  • Disclose financial information to customers as required by law.
  • Productively and tactfully identify and sell service contracts and ancillary products to customers in ways that build confidence in their purchases and generate profitable, appropriate margins. 
  • Administer and monitor factory-sponsored programs. 
  • Train F&I staff on:
    • Changes in regulations and the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
    • Submitting title and contract paperwork to various states and vendors.
    • Assembling titling bundles for all states based on state requirements.
  • Maintain confidentiality of customer information.
  • Generate new lenders and maintain good lender relations. Evaluate new lender programs.
  • Serve as liaison between the finance department and other departments.
  • Analyze and control expenditures to conform to budgetary requirements. Recommend new expenditures and appropriations.
  • Schedule and attend sales meetings with Finance department and Sales department.
  • Prepare monthly reporting.
  • Participate in strategic data analysis, research, and modeling with management.
  • Create and maintain a program with the Sales department that will ensure all sales customers are referred to the F&I department.
  • Show and demonstrate vehicles when necessary.
  • Other duties as requested.
