We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Vice President - Program/Project Manager to join our Middle Office Project Management Office Team. This role is in New York City, NY - Hybrid Work Schedule

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:

• Lead allocated projects and programs to ensure successful delivery and implementation within deadlines.
• Deliver complex internal and external projects or parts of larger projects.
• Organize resources for project workshops/support with relevant managers in line with both business and project needs.
• Facilitates project meetings and workshops with External Clients and Internal Stakeholders as appropriate. Escalates issues that will significantly impact project delivery to relevant parties.
• Monitors project process, risks and issues through weekly reports, CAIR log, project plans.
• Communicates effectively and frequently with Project Initiators, Technology, Operations and/or the Client and ensures regular communication among these groups.
• Provide clear direction and leadership to staff managed during a project, including where appropriate setting individual objectives at the start of a project, and reviewing outcomes during and at the end of the project.
• Manage communication with the various technology groups (including external suppliers) that provide services (directly or indirectly) to the business area, to ensure that related project activities in those groups are performed in line with agreed plans and budgets.
• Oversees and monitors all client and business led change activity undertaken by a virtual team of project managers, acting as a sponsor where required.
• Manages project post-implementation reviews.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

• Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience in business management or related field is required. 
• 10-12 years of total work experience is required
• A strong understanding is required of the various functions within the Asset Servicing business and how they fit together.
• A consistent ability to deliver, even under tough circumstances, within deadlines and manage client expectation.
• Previous involvement in managing complex projects or programs.
• Experience of working across the core Asset Servicing functions – Custody/Trustee, Transfer Agency & Fund Accounting (either within BNYM or outside)
• Demonstrate a sound understanding of the commercial environment and competitors’ products.
• Identify and manage issues, risks, and change control throughout the project lifecycle.
• PMP Certification preferred.

BNY Mellon assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $98,000 and $216,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNYM total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs. This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
