BlueSun is Hiring an Administrative Specialist 2 (Temp) Near Hillsboro, OR

BlueSun Inc has an excellent opportunity for a part-time temporary position with Washington County.
This is a 20 hour a week M-Th between 8-4

Duties may include:
  • Provides information to the public or other employees by phone or in person to ensure compliance and understanding of the agency rules, regulations, or functions; listens to questions and either explains procedures according to agency guidelines or refers clients to another appropriate source.
  • Maintains electronic and hard copy files and record keeping systems requiring employee to sort, file, retrieve, and distribute records or other documents.
  • Processes, edits, and proofreads forms, memos, reports, text, and correspondence for managers or supervisors from rough draft, notes, handwritten copy, or recording equipment.
  • Copies, compares, or compiles data to produce reports for managers or supervisors by checking data, making necessary corrections and producing data in final form.
  • Assists in creating a positive and supportive work environment; enforces a safe workplace; establishes a culture of teamwork and communication; creates a work place that promotes the organizational values of workplace diversity, equity and inclusion and actively promotes an environment respectful of living and working in a multicultural society.
  • Operates a variety of office equipment including computer; inputs and retrieves data and text; organizes and maintain disk storage and filing.
  • Processes and prepares a variety of documents according to established procedures or statutes.
  • Maintains a variety of files and records such as payroll, budget, production, and cost information.
Knowledge of:
  • Modern office practices and methods;
  • Business English, spelling, grammar, and punctuation;
  • Business letter writing and report preparation techniques;
  • Operational characteristics and applications of data processing equipment;
  • Operation and maintenance of office equipment and machinery;
  • Pertinent federal, state, and local laws, codes and regulations;
  • Principles and procedures of financial recordkeeping and reporting; and
  • Basic mathematical principles.
  • Skills to:
  • Provide timely, effective, and efficient customer service to the general public, clients,and other employees; and
  • Interact patiently with individuals making inquiries regarding various County programs and services who have little or no experience or knowledge of the services provided.
  • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Education and Experience
  • A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent; and Three (3) years of progressively responsible experience providing administrative or clerical support.
  • Possession of Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) or other applicable certifications may substitute for up to one (1) year of the experience requirement.
