THE POSITION

Washington County Community Corrections is seeking a talented team player to join us as an Administrative Specialist II. This role provides diverse administrative support for the Community Corrections Center, its procedures, and operating details. The primary duties of this position include:
  • Word processing using Microsoft Office Suite
  • Data entry in Microsoft Access
  • Petty cash distribution and reconciliation
  • Preparing correspondence using independent judgment in content and style
  • Communicating with Center staff to support the needs of the Justice Involved Individuals
  • Explaining policies and procedures to members of the public
This position has a schedule of Monday through Friday and is located at the Community Corrections Center.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent; and
  • Three (3) years of progressively responsible experience providing administrative or clerical support.
  • Possession of Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) or other applicable certifications may substitute for up to one (1) year of the experience requirement.
Position Specific Requirements:
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Ability to become Law Enforcement Data System (LEDS) certified.
  • Ability to become notary certified.

This is a non-represented position and is not covered by a collective bargaining agreement.
Regular and limited duration full-time employees working 30 hours or more per week and job share employees are eligible for benefits beginning on the first of the month following employment.
