General Responsibilities

  • Assists with instrumental activities of daily living, ADLs, environmental orientation, assistance with medication, treatments, and other care while encouraging self-care and independence.
  • Provides necessary skills to assist patients/clients with safe transfers and ambulation.
  • Promotes positive, supportive, respectful communication to patients/clients, their families, and other employees.
  • Provides assistance to patients/clients with proper nutrition and adequate fluid intake.
  • Provides skills necessary to perform treatments and other procedures.
  •  Reports any complaints or grievances made by residents to the Director of Nursing Services.
  • Attends and participates in continuing education programs designed to keep you abreast of changes in your profession.
  • Observes all work, safety, and administrative rules
  • Displays cleanliness, good grooming, and personal appearance and follows dress requirements consistently.
  • Interacts in a professional manner with Residents, the public, and co-workers. Works cooperatively with management.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Must be 18 years old and above
  • Proof of COVID vaccination and TB test
  • Completed criminal background check and drug test documents
  • Valid Driver’s License and automobile insurance
  • BLS/First Aid Certification encouraged
  • Physically fit
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Works well under pressure with minimal supervision
