BACKGROUND
Bloomberg Philanthropies works to create catalytic change across five areas of focus: arts and culture, education, the environment, government innovation, and public health. Our mission is to ensure better, longer lives for the greatest number of people. Our approach is rooted in Mike Bloomberg's unique experience and success across the field of business, government, and philanthropy.
THE PUBLIC HEALTH PROGRAM
Bloomberg Philanthropies’ Public Health program focuses on work in low- and middle-income countries and cities to help save millions of lives by spreading solutions that have been proven to work. In each of these public health initiatives, Bloomberg Philanthropies forms partnerships with some of the world’s leading organizations to spread effective strategies and analyze data to further improve results. Our road safety and drowning prevention programs support: advocacy for best practice policies and laws, data collection to better understand the circumstances of drowning and road traffic crashes, and partnership with governments to implement evidence-based interventions.
THE POSITION
Our Public Health team seeks a Program Manager to join the team to support our growing global injury prevention programs – road safety and drowning prevention. The person in this role will support both programmatic and administrative activities of the injury prevention portfolio. All members of the Public Health team support multiple issue areas and candidates who demonstrate a strong understanding of core public health principles and a willingness to adapt and learn about new topics will be prioritized for consideration.
The role is based in New York City.
