• Position Title: SAP MM Lead
• Reports to: ERP Director 
• Location: Merchandise Mart, 222 Merchandise Mart Plaza, Chicago, IL
• Hybrid Role (3 days onsite - Tues, Weds, Thurs)

Job Purpose:

The SAP MM Lead will play an integral role in leading the design, configuration, implementation and maintenance of the SAP MM/Procure to Pay module in the SAP S4 HANA platform in alignment with the organization’s strategic objectives. This position will serve as a subject matter expert in SAP MM by validating business requirements in all areas of Materials Management, Purchasing/Procurement/Demand Planning, Quality Management, Warehouse Operations, Logistics and propose best practices for process standardization, efficiencies. Blommer is embarking on an SAP business transformation and the SAP MM lead will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery and adoption of SAP Material Management processes by leveraging best practices in S4 HANA. This role will also be required to successfully build credible partnerships with business stakeholders to achieve the intended value proposition of the SAP S4 HANA platform and realize the strategic objectives of the transformation program.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Drive the design, development, testing and implementation of SAP MM solutions, considering best practices and industry standards.
• Collaborate with business process leader(s), consultant(s) and other functional and technical leads to develop Procure to Pay functionality in the S4 HANA platform.
• Lead / Facilitate (with consultants) workshops, design sessions and gap analysis based on requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into SAP MM solutions.
• Configure and customize SAP S/4HANA MM modules to meet business requirements while ensuring best practices and system optimization.
• Gain commitment from multiple functional leaders simultaneously on design decisions.
• Document business requirements, functional specifications, technical designs, developing comprehensive test cases to ensure end-to-end process integrity.
• Provides functional support to production issues in SAP MM, including Materials Management, Purchasing/Procurement/Demand Planning, Manufacturing, Quality Management, Warehouse Operations and Logistics.
• Execute S4 HANA configuration design, testing and approvals in order to implement business performance optimization initiatives.
• Supports period end activities, year-end activities, cross-company posting, foreign currency valuation process and reconciliation activities.
• Conduct Functional testing, System Integration testing, Regression testing to make sure the system set up is as expected with no errors.
• Provide end-to-end support for SAP S/4HANA MM applications, including troubleshooting, resolving issues, and conducting regular system maintenance.

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
• Must have 10 years of hands-on SAP implementation experience with strong knowledge in design, architecting solutions in SAP materials management/logistics execution functionality - (MRP), requisition, purchase order, inventory management, material valuation, delivery processing (inbound/outbound), shipment processing & shipment costing, integration with 3PL warehouse solutions.
• 1-2 full life cycle implementation experience in S/4 HANA 1909 and 3 previous full implementation projects experience in SAP ECC including blueprint design, implementation, customization, configuration and post Go Live support of SAP MM modules.
• Knowledge of OpenText Vendor Invoice Management (VIM), Ariba procurement platform (implementation and / or support)
• Implementation experience in Material ledger/S4 HANA MM Conversion process/Material master conversion/Business partners related to Sourcing and Procurement.
• Working knowledge of SAP HANA WM or SAP-EWM will be an added advantage. (Records, Source List, Storage Bins, Warehouse Product Master (EWM), Control Cycles (EWM), Handling Units, Material Inventory, free Goods, Purchase Agreements etc.)
• Deep knowledge of Procurement Master data, P2P process, Inventory Management, and Account Payable Invoice posting.
• Extensive experience with integration of SAP MM with other SAP modules such as Sales and Distribution (SD), Production Planning (PP), and Quality Management (QM)
• Proficiency in SAP WM functionalities such as warehouse structure, picking strategies, putaway strategies, and handling unit management
• Good experience in handling interfaces with non-SAP applications. Understanding of SAP technologies including but not limited to EDI, File transfer, API, etc

• Strong understanding of warehouse management processes, including inbound/outbound logistics, inventory management, and material movements.
