### Job Summary: We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals. As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide support and care for individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia, and other special needs. Your role will involve assisting with daily activities, promoting independence, and ensuring the well-being of our residents. ### Duties: - Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, and dementia - Assist with daily activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration - Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors - Support individuals in participating in community activities and social events - Ensure the safety and well-being of residents at all times - Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and any incidents or observations - Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans ### Skills: - Experience working with individuals with autism, developmental disabilities, dementia, or similar conditions - Knowledge of behavior management techniques and strategies - Ability to provide first aid and respond to medical emergencies - Proficiency in lifting and transferring individuals who may require assistance - Understanding of resident rights and the importance of person-centered care - Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and team members - Ability to adapt to changing situations and handle challenging behaviors with patience and empathy If you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of individuals with special needs and possess the necessary skills, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding position.
