Overview:
Blaze Real Estate, a leader in property management throughout the Texas Panhandle, is seeking a detail-oriented and versatile Accounts Payable Clerk to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of financial concepts, experience with advanced accounting software, and the ability to manage front desk responsibilities effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist with month-end closing procedures and maintain accurate, organized financial records.
- Manage front desk duties, including greeting visitors, answering phones, and handling inquiries with professionalism.
- Collaborate with the accounting and management teams to support various accounting projects and front office tasks.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Workday, QuickBooks, or similar platforms, with a willingness to learn new software as needed.
- Familiarity with Human Resources processes and a basic understanding of financial concepts and general ledger accounting.
- Previous experience in public accounting, real estate, or a related field is a plus.
- Ability to handle Accounts Receivable tasks and support payroll processes when needed.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience in an accounts payable role.
- Experience in customer service or front desk management is highly desirable.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
