Under the direct supervision of the Director of People, this position is responsible for administering the employment lifecycle, managing data quality, and acts as the first point of contact for employee inquiries, announcements, benefits management, and communicating policies and process to our various teams. Additionally, this position assists in the recruitment process and provides onboarding and training resources to our hiring managers

Employee Data

- Creates and maintains all Employee Personnel folders in accordance with applicable state and federal requirements.

- Manages the HRIS side of our payroll platform.

- Works with the Director of People and Operations to assist in the file cleanup / merger from various acquired assets and associated platforms.

- Administers the Onboarding and Offboarding functions for all staff in partnership with department supervisors, ensuring a smooth integration and exit process.

- Acts as the Project Manager for Personnel and People Operations data cleanup on our Company server

- Provide support with Benefits Enrollment, including the onboarding and terminating of participants.

Resource and Process

- Performance routine tasks required to administer and execute Company programs including but not limited to compensation, performance and talent management, productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.

- Attends and participates in employee coaching meetings, investigations, and terminations.

- Collaborate with Hiring Managers to understand staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies, including the assessment of candidate qualifications.

- Act as the first point of contact for employee inquires, concerns and conflicts.

- Work with the Director of People, Operations, and the Department Managers to assist in the completion and upkeep of appropriate training processes and materials.

- Provide backup support to the Payroll Specialist and regularly assist in biweekly payroll-related activities including timecards, expense reports and PTO requests

- Assist employees with benefits-related inquiries and services as the administrative contact during our annual Open Enrollment.

Compliance

- In partnership with the Director of People, maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations, recommends best practice; and reviews policies and procedures to maintain compliance.

- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in Human Resources, talent management, and employment law.

- Works closely with our Legal and Operations teams to assist in organizational training activities.

- Order and maintain all required legal materials included but not limited to posters, pamphlets, signage, wayfinding, and safety materials.

- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in HR, BA or a related field

- Two years of experience in a Human Resources role, with a focus on generalist responsibilities

- Strong interest in, and knowledge of HR Laws, regulations, and best practices

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.

- Provide problem-solving and conflict resolutions skills.

- Experience with Payroll, HRIS, Task Management, and Project Management software.

- Proficient in MS Office Suite.

- Experience supporting a hybrid team across multiple locations and work environments.

Location:

- This is an on-site role, located at our corporate office in Downey, CA and is not approved for hybrid or telecommuting / remote work.

Compensation:

- Fulltime, Exempt
