Administrative Assistant Job Summary

BK Corrosion, LLC’s West Virginia branch is seeking an organized, self-motivated Administrative Assistant to provide general support to our customers and staff, in a full-time position. You will greet customers when they arrive, answer phone calls, respond to emails, and organize files. You will be an essential part of our team, providing support to various departments, so a positive attitude and attention to detail are a must. Training will be provided in the use of our current order/inventory control program (EPICOR), any prior experience/knowledge with customer management programs is a plus.

Administrative Assistant Duties and Responsibilities

  • Welcome visitors and provide assistance when necessary
  • Answer and route incoming calls
  • Maintain a tidy work area
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills with colleagues, management, customers, vendors, and others
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Tasks specific to EPICOR
    • Enter Customer Quotes
    • Process and complete customer orders either over the phone or in person.
    • Address customer inquiries and requests regarding accounts, products, rates, and other customer-related needs. Provide alternative solutions to unresolved problems. Follow up on customer inquiries and ensure satisfactory resolution
    • Process Purchase Orders for material purchases from vendors
    • Assist with routine reports and special projects as assigned
  • Customer shipping for outgoing/will-call orders

Administrative Assistant Requirements and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in an administrative role a plus
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe PDF and calendaring programs
  • Willingness to learn and to grow with the company
  • Proficient communication and organizational skills
  • Pre-employment Drug and Background Screening is required
