3 months contract position in Hillsboro, OR
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
• Bookkeepingand/or accounting courses or equivalent experience.
• Experience inthe Accounts Payable field.
KEYRESPONSIBILITIES:
• Inputsinvoices in A/P system for computer check run.
• Keeps filesof accounts payable and cash disbursement activities.
• Reviewsvendor statements in a timely manner.
• Printschecks.
• Copy all invoices and back-up.
• Obtains,records, and prepares deposit slips for all cash receipts received from theBusiness Office and Cashiers.
• Assembles andmail 1099’s.
• Acts asback-up Administrator.
• Demonstratesconfidentiality regarding patient and co-worker information.
• Determines ifcredit memos are open.
• Comparesinformation on invoices with that on purchase orders to verify accuracy.
• Computestrade discounts according to invoice terms, and net amounts payable.
• Verifiesaccuracy of checks before mailing and send to appropriate people.
• Processesmanual checks as necessary from approved check requests, including date, amountand description.
• Verifies andupdates all information on vendor master.
• Assigns andreviews documentation to ensure accuracy of account code, accounting period,pricing and authorization.
• Preparesinformation relating to the filing of 1099’s.
• Communicateswith appropriate people with in company to resolve invoice discrepancies.
• Resolvesinvoice and statement discrepancies with vendors.
• Contactsvendors for correct tax information.
