We are currently in search of a professional to fill the role of

Maintenance Technician

Reports to: Facility Director

Supervises: No supervisory duties are included in this position.

Classification: Non-Exempt

Education and/or Experience

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Post-secondary vocational/ technical training in plumbing, electrical, HVAC or refrigeration desirable.
• Previous 3 years or more of maintenance experience in a business, residential or institutional setting

Job Knowledge, Core Competencies and Expectations

• Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry & painting.
• Demonstrated ability to make repairs to plumbing fixtures, electrical outlets, lamps, locks, minor carpentry, etc.
• Reports major repairs to supervisor for correction.
• General knowledge of power tools.
• Knowledge of and ability to perform required role during emergency situations.

Job Summary

Carries out all repairs and general maintenance needed for equipment, furniture and building structures to maintain the club property in optimal condition and appearance.

Job Tasks/Duties

• Maintains and repairs systems for lighting, plumbing, electrical, painting and related maintenance activities.
• Visually inspects public spaces and back of house areas to replace light bulbs, fixtures, switches, etc.
• Maintains the clubhouse grounds, tennis courts, and other recreational areas.
• Keeps the workshop areas safe, clean and well-lit.
• Performs routine preventive maintenance (PM) required by club’s PM procedures.
• Completes other duties assigned by the Facilities Director
• Attends departmental staff meetings.

Licenses and Special Requirements

• Valid driver’s license.

Physical Requirement and Work Environment

• Regularly exposed to outside weather conditions.
• Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.
• Frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals.
• Frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; extreme heat; high, precarious places; risk of electrical shock; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
• Able to meet and perform the physical requirements to work effectively in an environment which is typical of this position.
• Frequent lifting, bending, climbing, stooping and pulling.
• Frequent repetitive motions.
• Continuous standing and walking.

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
