The Accounts Payable Payment Specialist is responsible for day-to-day operational efficiency of the invoice to payment process.What you'll be doingPerform weekly pay runs ensuring accuracy and completeness of all supporting documentation.
Collaborate with internal departments and external vendors to resolve payment issues.
Review and resolve payment blocks placed on vendors and/or specific invoices.
Weekly AP aging reviews to identify and resolve issues with invoices due, but not paid.
Review changes made to vendors by the Vendor Master team to ensure successful payment processing.
Outstanding check reconciliations and follow up with vendors.
Update procedures for business processes as needed.
Assist with month end closing procedures as required.
Assist with ad hoc assignments, project work, testing of new process and procedures within SAP and other Systems as needed.
Backup to book, validate coding and complete end to end process by deadlines.
Holds oneself and others accountable to conduct business in a manner compliant with Bioventus' Code of Compliance and Ethics, policies and procedures and internal controls applicable to their role.
Completes other duties as assigned
Associate Degree or higher - or equivalent level of experience (4 years).
Proficient knowledge of accounts payable concepts and practices.
Able to work in a variety of information systems, databases and web-based systems, including SAP and Concur.
Solid accounting/administrative background (proven experience with AP and standard accounting).
Experience with diverse AP responsibilities to include payments, BS reconciliation, and AP workflows and working on small project teams.
Working experience with Excel (Pivot tables, vlookups).
Excellent communication skills (fluent in English).
Ability to organize time, energy, and resources effectively to achieve goals (i.e., organizational skills).
Highly accurate and deadline driven.
Ability to adapt to rapid change as the business develops, capable of working under pressure and manage time effectively.
Problem solving and strong listening skills.
