Position Summary
The Engineering Technician II (Eng. Tech II) is responsible for instrumentation production line support, focusing primarily on instrument troubleshooting and engineering project work. As such, an Eng. Tech II is expected to apply root cause investigation techniques to solve production and engineering problems and professionally document results. The Eng. Tech II works within a manufacturing engineering support team – generally under the leadership of more experienced individuals (e.g. engineers and/or managers). The Eng. Tech II reports to the Engineering Line Support Manager and interacts with other technicians, engineers, and leadership and performs work in compliance with company policy and within the guidelines of BFDX’s Quality System. This engineering technician is expected to work and communicate professionally with other team members and leadership as assigned in order to meet the goals of the instrumentation department and bioMerieux company.

Training and Education
High School diploma; Associates Degree in a scientific/technical discipline a strong plus
Experience
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in related field, including performance consistent with said experience.
