PositionSummary
The Automation Manufacturing Engineering (AME) Technician works on a cross-functional team to providehighlevelequipmentsupporttotheconsumableManufacturingareasonAutomationlinesused in production. Partners with internal teams; Production, Manufacturing Support, Manufacturing Engineering, and Automation Manufacturing Engineering, to troubleshoot andsolve equipment issues. Leveragesexperienceandskillsettoimplementbestpracticeswithintherealmofequipmentautomation by identifying root causes and implementing solutions to minimize equipment downtime. Contributes to the resolution of complex manufacturing engineering problems, with emphasis on automated equipment.
PrimaryDuties
- Supportsautomatedconsumableproduct/reagentmanufacturingprocesses.
- Performsextensivetroubleshootingandmaintenanceofautomatedmanufacturingequipment, including support of complex repairs, when needed.
- Abletobuildroutinesandgatherdataforequipmenttroubleshooting/issueinvestigations,asdirected by Automation Manufacturing Engineers.
- Troubleshoots existing MES software and Automation PLC packages to support maintenance and Engineering teams in production line support.
- Utilize prior experience and automation related knowledge to identify potential equipment/process improvements.
- Supportsinidentifyingrootcausesofproblemsandpresentspossible solutions.
- Must possess well-developed interpersonal skills, a willingness to work collaboratively and takedirection from other team members.
- WorksalongsideandtrainsunderAutomationManufacturingEngineersonbothtechnicalskillsand BioMerieux best practices.
- Criticalthinkingandabilitytopaycloseattentiontodetails.
- Support in development and execution of validation of equipment and processes consistent withFDA standards.
- ActasarepresentativeofAutomationManufacturingEngineeringwithemphasisonsustainmentin new automation/equipment development efforts.
- Provideoncallsupport,asassigned,toallreagentmanufacturing areas.
- PerformallworkincompliancewithFDAregulations,companypolicyandwithintheguidelinesof BioMerieux Quality System.
- Performsprimarydutiesinaclean roomenvironment.

Experience in FDA regulated industry preferred.
