Big D Construction is Hiring a Benefits HR Coordinator Near Salt Lake, UT

Big-D Construction, is looking for a Benefit HR Coordinator to join our team of professionals based in Salt Lake City, UT.

Duties, Responsibilities and Expectations:(other duties may be assigned to meet business needs)

  • Assist the Human Resource team with general administrative duties
  • Interface with Brokers, vendors, insurance companies
  • Enter and maintain accuracy of data in HR Databases
  • Processes monthly insurance billings
  • Responsible for timely and accurate benefit enrollment for all employees
  • Help new employees as they onboard to Big-D
  • Assist in open enrollment, new hire orientation, and other HR specific meetings
  • Create and run reports in benefit and accounting system
  • Audits benefit entry information and ensures accuracy – weekly payroll recaps of Benefits
  • Respond to questions via phone, electronic, or walk-in employees and candidates
  • Assist with company events internal and external outreach events as needed

Requirements:

  • Understanding of Microsoft office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
  • Exhibits strong “can do” attitude
  • Basic understanding of Human Resource functions
  • Ability to prioritize, organize and work on multiple tasks and/or projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and organized 
  • Strong math skills and system logic knowledge
  • Work well in a team environment
  • Great customer service skills
  • High degree of confidentiality and exceptionally strong ethics

Experience/Training:

  • A High School Diploma or GED is required
  • Business school, Associate’s degree or equivalent is a plus
  • HR experience as a benefits administrator, 2 to 5 years managing benefits, leaves of absence, etc.
  • PHR or SCP certification preferred and strong benefits understanding
  • Construction industry experience a plus
